Roussanne might not be a household name, but we reckon it's one of those under-the-radar white grapes that deserves the spotlight.
This varietal gets its name from 'rousse' — the French word for reddish-brown because the grape skins turn a beautiful golden rust colour when ripe. Très chic, non?
Ripe, rare, and ready to sip — if you like X you'll love this. This French gem gives a hit of apricot on the nose and palate, as well as notes of wildflowers, crushed shells, white pepper, soft oak, and freshly baled hay that combine with bursts of Golden Delicious apple and nashi.
